The New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls will play in an Eastern Conference matchup on Thursday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Knicks-Bulls prediction and pick.

The Knicks (3-1) and Bulls (4-0) will square off in what looks like a competitive matchup on Thursday. The Bulls have taken care of business so far this season, starting 4-0 with new additions Lonzo Ball and Demar DeRozan. The Knicks look like an improved version of last year's team with the additions of Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, but they are still led by Julius Randle. Through four games, Randle leads the Knicks in points, rebounds and assists. The Bulls will look to stay undefeated Thursday night while the Knicks will look to hand them their first loss of the season.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Knicks-Bulls odds for this Thursday matchup.

Why The Knicks Can Cover The Spread

The Knicks have played good basketball this season, with their only loss coming in what was a bit of letdown on their home floor vs. the Orlando Magic. Otherwise, they blew out the Magic in Orlando, and also pulled off impressive wins on their home floor vs. the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. Randle has been a force, averaging 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6.5 assists through four games, proving last season was no fluke out of the gates in 2021-22. The Knicks will be the biggest test the Bulls have faced yet, as they have not yet faced a team who is currently at or above a .500 record. New York is 3-1 vs. the spread so far this season.

Why The Bulls Can Cover The Spread

The Bulls have looked great so far this season, but already have a bit of injury trouble muddying the waters. Zach LaVine has an injured thumb he plans to play through, but he's questionable for Thursday's contest vs. New York. If he's unable to go, this obviously changes the line and how the Bulls attack this matchup with the Knicks. The Bulls will look to lean on their guard play vs. a tough New York frontcourt, so missing LaVine will obviously be a big deal for this game and any other games he would be forced to miss for the Bulls going forward. Chicago is a decent spot as a slim favorite on their home floor, but LaVine were to be ruled out, they might shift to an underdog in quick order.

Final Knicks-Bulls Prediction & Pick

The status of LaVine is essential if you're picking this game, so you'll want to monitor the injury reports that come out of Chicago later in the day. Take the Knicks in Chicago on Thursday night, as they come into the matchup with just Nerlens Noel questionable and have played better teams than the Bulls so far this season.

FINAL KNICKS-BULLS PREDICTION & PICK: Knicks +1.5 (-110)
