The “Mean Tweets” segment featuring NBA players on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has returned along with the NBA Finals.

This version features Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Dirk Nowitzki and a handful other NBA players. As usual, the tweets were hilarious, with the Lopez twins capping off the segment with some classic tomfoolery:

As you would expect, Durant got the most burn on these tweets. Fans around the NBA still haven't forgiven KD for jumping on the Golden State Warriors' bandwagon. Durant doesn't do himself any favors when he goes back at fans on Twitter, but the two-time Finals MVP clearly enjoys the back-and-forth.

It's a little strange to see Nowitzki get burned on Twitter. The Dallas Mavericks legend is universally loved by everyone. Apparently no one is safe from the wrath of NBA Twitter.

The Toronto Raptors are up 1-0 on the Warriors. Just imagine the tweets that are going to come up if the Warriors end up losing this series. Guys like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green usually get made fun of a lot whenever the Dubs lose. Heck, people are still using the “3-1” jokes even today.

Kudos to these NBA players for having the courage to read these tweets on live television in front of millions of people. It takes a lot of valor to do that.
