With All-Star weekend kicking off on Friday, February 15th, the jerseys that will be worn by the two teams have been released.

With the All-Star Game taking place in Los Angeles, the NBA wanted to pay respect to the history of the Clippers and the Lakers.

The United States team jerseys are a nod to the Minneapolis Lakers jerseys of the 40's and 50's before the Lakers moved to Los Angeles.

Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram will all be playing for the United States team, so the fact they are wearing Lakers throwbacks seem fitting. The Lakers also wore a different rendition of the Minneapolis Lakers uniforms earlier this year so this won't be the first time those three guys will be sporting the baby blue.

The Team World Jerseys will pay tribute to the Buffalo Braves uniforms of the 70's before the franchise became the L.A. Clippers.

There are no Clippers playing in the game this year, so none of the Buffalo Braves uniforms will be worn by the hometown crew.

Just like the United States team is dominated by Lakers, the World team is dominated by 76ers with Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Dario Saric all from the City of Brotherly Love.

Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, Kris Dunn, Malcolm Brogdon, Dennis Smith Jr, and John Collins make up the rest of the United States' roster. While Bogdan Bogdanovic, Buddy Hield, Dillon Brooks, Lauri Markkanen, Jamal Murray, Frank Ntilikina, and Domantas Sabonis comprise Team World.

This promises to be one of the most exciting events in the upcoming All-Star Weekend.
