The Atlanta Hawks needed every player in their roster against the Memphis Grizzlies, but they were forced to make do without one of their key young prospects in Cam Reddish. He wasn't able to participate in the remainder of the game due to lower limb cramping.

The Hawks confirmed that Reddish had been ruled out for the rest of the game. Fortunately, it seems like he wouldn't be out for long as a cramp is usually a minor injury.

It's a shame that Cam Reddish wasn't able to play long against one of the most exciting teams in the West, as it could help build his experience and improve for the future. He only played 12 minutes for Atlanta, notching a total of nine points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal — a pretty productive night for him that unfortunately ended early.

Reddish is having an up-and-down rookie season with the Hawks. The 10th overall pick is averaging 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 38/33/80 shooting splits. He's going to become an important player for the team's future, so it's essential for him to get as many minutes as possible.

However, Reddish's presence would have done little to stop the onslaught the Grizzlies gave them early on. Ja Morant had his way against the Hawks, and Trae Young could only stand by and watch as his team got blown out, 118-101.

This has been a season of growing pains for the Hawks, but they hope that things get better. Since their prized rookie only suffered a cramp this game, they hope that he'll be able to play in their next game.
