Trae Young went supernova against the Cleveland Cavaliers to lead the Atlanta Hawks to the playoffs. Naturally, the rest of the NBA was left in awe after such showing, with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James even going speechless.
The Hawks looked like they were on their way to an early vacation after falling behind by 10 points at the half. Furthermore, not only did Clint Capela suffer an injury in the second quarter, but Young also went scoreless in the second quarter after dropping just six in the first half.
Interestingly, the second half was a different story for the Hawks. Young knew Atlanta needed him most with their starting center down and out, and he responded with a one-of-a-kind performance that saw him drop 32 points in the final 24 minutes of play.
As the final buzzer sounded and Atlanta took the 107-101 victory, the NBA world flooded social media with various reactions to Young's incredible performance. James, for his part, couldn't really say much as he only tweeted one emoji to show how amazed he is by Young and the play-in showdown.

Trae Young finished with 38 points in the game. He also had three rebounds and nine assists to keep Atlanta rolling throughout the contest.
It's hard to blame LeBron James for having just a one-emoji reaction. After all, Young just proved his superstar status with that clutch performance. And if anyone is questioning his ability to lead the Hawks, he has shut them down with his play.
Atlanta claims the eighth seed in the East with the win, pitting them against the Miami Heat in the first round of the postseason.
