Atlanta Hawks rookie point guard Trae Young wants you to know that he and Duke star Zion Williamson are in totally different boats.

After Williamson hurt his knee on Wednesday, many players, including Young, started criticizing the NCAA for not playing its players and encouraged Williamson to sit out the rest of the season and prepare for the NBA Draft.

That's when CBS' Gary Parrish took to Twitter to criticize Young, and Trae didn't hold back in his retaliation.

While he was playing at the University of Oklahoma, a lot of “scouts” said Trae Young was too small for the NBA and weren't high on him as a pro draft prospect.

The exact opposite sentiment has been said about Zion Williamson. The only thing people have criticized Zion about is lack of shooting skills, but other than that, it's been nothing but praise for the Duke phenom.

We don't know the full story of Young. Maybe he was told his entire life he was too small or not good enough to play in the NBA, and he's been using that as motivation ever since as he continues to develop with the Hawks.

Even this season, Mavs rookie Luka Doncic has been getting all the hype from the media, even though Young is averaging 16.9 points and 7.6 assists and leads all rookies in assists per game.
