Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young decided to flex his ball-handling skills during Wednesday night's season finale against the Indiana Pacers.
With just over four minutes remaining in the second quarter and his team trailing by two points, Young was met by two Indiana players near the elbow. To shake off his defenders, he reached into his bag of tricks and pulled out a behind-the-back dribble move that left them dead in their tracks.

Though Young managed to beat the Pacers on this particular play, the Hawks were ultimately defeated. Edmond Sumner knocked down three free throws with three-tenths of a second remaining, leading Indiana to a 135-134 victory.
Young led the Hawks in scoring against the Pacers. In 34 minutes of action, the former Oklahoma Sooner racked up 23 points on 6-of-18 shooting from the field (1-of-7 from beyond the arc), 11 assists, five rebounds and two steals. These are certainly good numbers, but he also committed six turnovers.

Taurean Prince recorded 23 points in Wednesday's loss, while John Collins scored 20 points and set a career-high with 25 rebounds.

Now that their season has come to an end, the Hawks will shift their focus to the NBA Draft Lottery, which is to be held on May 14th. Exactly who the team is interested in remains to be seen, but Young feels that the team is ready to take the next step.
“I think we're one or two pieces away from really making that jump to that next step and taking off,” Young said in a recent interview with Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.
