Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young has forged himself beside LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the only three players with multiple 40-point, 10-assist games before turning 22-years-old.

In their win over the Denver Nuggets, Young finished with 42 points and 11 assists, which is his second 40-10 game. His first one was on March 1, 2019, in a win over the Chicago Bulls where he dropped 49 markers and 16 dimes.
Young has certainly been making a name for himself. Gone are the days where he was tagged as the second coming of Stephen Curry or a player with essentially unlimited range.

Now, people see Young as a potent offensive gunner. At any given point, he can drop over 30 points in a game. Not just that, but he can dish out over 10 assists and make team defenses silly.
From a broader perspective, Young has been critical in transforming the Hawks into a possible playoff contender. It has been two seasons since Atlanta last qualified for the postseason. While they currently have a 4-6 record so far, the overall chemistry of the team has been pretty good and will only get better.
A playoff berth this year is not far from being a reality for the Hawks with Young in tow.
