With the novel coronavirus scare affecting major sporting leagues all over the globe, Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young shared his grief following news that the NCAA Basketball Tournament is officially canceled.
The 21-year-old guard took to Twitter and bared his disappointment, particularly for the outgoing seniors who will no longer be able to play in their final year of eligibility.
Damn… I hope the @NCAA does something for these Seniors… I feel for em😞 ALL SPORTS

The NCAA initially announced that they will hold a close-door tournament with “only essential staff and limited family attendance” due to the pandemic virus.
Following the NBA's suspension of games of Wednesday after Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz tested positive of the coronavirus, the NCAA opted to cancel the March Madness all together. This marks the first time that the tournament had been canceled since its creation in 1939.
Other big-time collegiate basketball tournaments like the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC have been canceled as well, while the AAC, Atlantic-10, Big East, Colonial, Conference USA, MAC, Pac-12 and WAC also followed suit.

Trae Young, meanwhile, certainly feels for these seniors considering he played against some of them during his one-and-done year with the Oklahoma Sooners in 2017-18.
Young was named the Big 12's Freshman of the Year and was a member of the All-Big 12's First Team that season. He was picked fifth overall by the Dallas Mavericks the following year, before being traded to the Hawks.
The 6-foot-1 elite scorer has had an electrifying first two years in the pros so far, being named an All-Star starter in just his sophomore season.
Prior to the league-wide suspension, Young was averaging 29.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 9.3 assists, and 1.1 steals on 43.7 percent shooting from the field and 36.1 percent from three in 60 games.
