The Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young isn't hiding it — Kobe Bryant was his “Michael Jordan.”

While numerous NBA and basketball greats paid tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers legend during his memorial, the Hawks guard took to Twitter to profess his admiration for the Lakers guard.

Bryant tragically passed away during a helicopter crash on Jan. 26. He was with eight other passengers, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

Shortly after Bryant's passing, the 21-year-old guard actually paid tribute to the Lakers legend with a 45-point outburst in a 152-133 win over the Washington Wizards last month.

Young even wore Bryant's No. 8 jersey for a few seconds and looked up to the rafters to honor the all-time great during the game.

The Hawks guard spoke of one of the last conversations he had with Bryant.

“One of the last conversations we had, he was just telling me how much he's seen my game progress and he's just been happy for me,” Young said between pauses. “He said how proud he was of me and how he wants me to continue to be a role model for kids growing up and for Gigi and all the kids looking up to me, to inspire these kids and continue to play my heart out.”

As Young made clear, Bryant's spirit will continue to live on on NBA courts throughout the country.
