The Atlanta Hawks may be down big in their first-round series matchup against the Miami Heat, but this has not stopped Trae Young from finding the silver lining in all this. The Hawks superstar recently revealed why he's still having the best time of his life despite the fact that his team is looking at a huge deficit in the series.

According to the Hawks All-Star, he's taking a lot of pleasure in having to play mind games against Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra:

“Obviously, we’re down 0-2 in this series, but this has probably been my most fun and challenging series that I’ve been a part of so far because of just that: playing that chess match game with Coach Spo, just knowing how good of a coach he is,” Young said, via Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com. “I’m trying to think ahead of him and he’s doing the same with me. It’s a fun challenge. It’s something that I’ve got to learn and grow and it’s another step for me in my progression.”

Spoelstra is one of the brightest minds in all of the NBA and he's firmly established himself as one of the top coaches in the league in recent years. Trae Young acknowledges all this and this is exactly why the Hawks star is cherishing the opportunity to go into battle against coach Spo. They may not face each other on the basketball court, but you can be sure that the level of competition between these two is at an all-time high.
