Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young doesn't mind the savage chants in Madison Square Garden, but spitting on him? Now that's a whole different matter and level of disrespect.

On Friday before Game 3 of the Hawks' first-round series clash against the New York Knicks, Young addressed the issue and admitted he didn't know it before he saw the videos after the contest. He pointed out that it is truly “disgusting” and it should not be tolerated in MSG–or in any arena or pro sport for that matter.

With the issue resolved and the said culprit banned indefinitely in the Knicks' arena, Young pointed out that he only wants to move on and focus on getting his team back to the winningcolumn. The Hawks lost Game 2, 101-92.

For those unaware of the incident, Trae Young was inbounding the ball in the fourth quarter of Game 2 when videos caught a fan near the front row spitting on the Hawks star. Upon further investigation, the Knicks confirmed the incident did happen and immediately took action, noting that the said supporter is not a season ticket holder.

Young initially played down the incident on Twitter, but there is no doubt he was also shocked by the poor gesture.

For what it's worth, Young's dad went ballistic over the incident and ripped the said fan. He went on to call the NBA to take action.

“Gotta get this under control. [Russell Westbrook] gets popcorn thrown on him & [Trae Young] gets spat on. I can deal with all the chants about my son, it comes with it. But this needs to be addressed,” Rayford Young wrote on Twitter.

Indeed, such acts should not be tolerated in arenas in any sport. Fortunately, the league and the teams involved quickly addressed the issues and showed everyone that they don't allow such ugly showing to run rampant.
