New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is making headlines on Tuesday after publically calling out Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young on television for “hunting for fouls”. Pretty wild claim in itself, but now Trae's dad, Ray Young is chiming in. Check out his response:

Young's dad doesn't seem too bothered about it. He's laughing at it more than anything, but I'm sure Trae won't be too pleased. Nevertheless, he went to work on the Knicks in his playoff debut, leading the Hawks to a massive Game 1 victory on Sunday.

Trae Young poured in 32 points while dishing out 10 assists, becoming the fourth player ever to score 30+ and register 10 or more dimes in their first playoff game. The Hawks guard ultimately hit a clutch runner with just 0.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter to seal the deal for Atlanta while silencing 15,000 Madison Square Garden fans in the process.

Young was also a perfect 9 for 9 from the charity stripe. He's been known in the past to hunt for fouls like de Blasio said, with Steve Nash even criticizing him back in January for it. But, there are lots of other players doing the same thing in the NBA. The Knicks will simply just need to contain the Hawks' best player in Game 2.
