Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is usually known for his circus shots from outside the arc. However, against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, the second-year All-Star proved that he can make ridiculous shots closer to the basket as well.
Faced with a mismatch against Mavs center Willie Cauley-Stein, Young drove to the basket. Rather than be forced out of bounds, Young threw up a floater from behind the backboard only to see it fall in.
Young was likely looking for a foul call on the play but did not get the and-1 call.

After a stellar rookie season in 2018-19, the former Oklahoma star has taken his game to the next level in year number two. The 21-year-old sharpshooter is averaging career-highs across the board, putting up 29.4 points, 9.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from deep.
Trae Young has not lead the Hawks to many wins, as the team is just 13-36 through 49 games. Nonetheless, there is no doubt he is having a spectacular individual season, having been named as a starter for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star Game this February in the Windy City.
