Beal did the right thing here in taking on Griffin as the two were isolated following a defensive switch by the Nets. Beal probably thought that he could take advantage of what should have been a rusty Blake Griffin, but to his surprise, the debutant matched him stride for stride.

This was Griffin's first taste of action after more than a month on the shelf. The last time we saw him take the floor was in mid-February as a Piston. After he signed for the Nets, the former All-Star dealt with knee and conditioning issues, which caused a significant delay in his much-awaited debut.

Three out of Brooklyn's four stars are now available, and with Kevin Durant nearing a return, it's only going to be a matter of time before the new-look Nets start unleashing their prowess on the rest of the league.
