Point guard D'Angelo Russell is expected to return to the Brooklyn Nets this summer, per BetOnline.ag.
Russell is heavily favored to re-sign with the Nets at -400. The Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, LA Clippers and Chicago Bulls are other contenders to lure Russell away from Brooklyn.
However, with D'Lo a restricted free agent this offseason, the Nets can match any offer sheet that he signs with another team.
Russell made his first All-Star team this season. The talented lefty averaged 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists during the regular season while shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 78.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Russell led Brooklyn to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. The Nets lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round in five games.
Brooklyn could free up enough cap space to sign two max contract players this summer. The franchise has been linked to Boston Celtics All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, Golden State Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant and Sixers forwards Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris.
The Nets have a bright future and the organization would certainly like Russell to be apart of it. However, the NBA is still a business and it remains to be seen how Russell's free agency pans out.
