Brooklyn nets superstar Kevin Durant was assessed a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 on Sunday night after he got tangled up with Detroit Pistons forward Kelly Olynyk. The former MVP was tossed in the third quarter after a few above-the-shoulder hits on Olynyk as Durant was trying to fight off a screen.

Watching the play closely, it seems that Durant did hit Olynyk's head with his right arm but, as always, the Pistons forward made sure to sell the call and the refs instantly bought it. Check it here and see for yourself:

Fortunately for Durant, his team didn't need him much for the rest of the game as the Nets still came out with a 117-91 win at home. He still led the way for Brooklyn with a game-high of 23 points on 10-13 shooting with the Nets tallying a 4-3 record coming into November.

It's been a tough past few days for the two-time champion. Aside from being ejected on Sunday night, Durant has also been assessed a $25,000 fine after launching the ball into the stands in the third quarter of their home game against the Indiana Pacers. The 11-time All-Star was only issued a technical foul on the play but upon further review of the league, he was slapped with a hefty fine.

We have yet to find out if Durant will also be fined for his altercation against Olynyk on Sunday. But, clearly, a sense of frustration is brewing early on this season as Durant and his Nets continue to zigzag their way through a ton of hurdles on and off the court.
