The Brooklyn Nets have fallen to a 2-0 hole against the Boston Celtics following Wednesday's 114-107 Game 2 loss in this first-round series. Kevin Durant had an off night in this one, going 4-of-17 from the field, and it prompted a rather straightforward reaction from Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
Magic called out KD for his poor play for the Nets, demanding that the former league MVP step up his game if he hopes to see his team progress to the next round:
“Kevin Durant had another poor shooting night and if the Nets are going to win, he's going to have to play like the superstar he is!” Johnson wrote in his tweet.

That's now two straight games of poor shooting from the Nets superstar. Over the past two contests against the Celtics, KD has shot a combined 15-of-41 from the floor. That's a far cry from the Kevin Durant we've all gotten used to, and it's no surprise that Brooklyn is now 2-0 down in the series.
Johnson also criticized the Nets for their botched gameplan, particularly in the fourth period of Wednesday's clash:

“The Nets failed to execute in the 4th quarter. They played too much one-on-one and the Celtics defense took them out of any offensive set they tried to run,” he said in another tweet.

This series now heads to Brooklyn for Games 3 and 4 and it goes without saying that both contests will be must-wins for KD and Co.
