The Brooklyn Nets enter the playoffs as the favorites to go all the way and win the championship this year. For his part, however, Kevin Durant is taking on a meticulously cautious approach heading into the postseason as he revealed just what it will take for other teams to beat Brooklyn in a seven-game series.
In his mind, Durant firmly believes that the Nets are not unbeatable. According to KD, their path to success will rely heavily on how mentally prepared they are for the grueling battle ahead:
“We can be beat if we don't lock in,” Durant said plainly, via ESPN's Malika Andrews.
Opponents should not expect any favors from the Nets, though. Durant has been in this situation many times in the past, and the same can be said of his superstar teammates in Kyrie Irving and James Harden. They all know what is required of them coming into the playoffs — especially since they have been tagged as the favorites — and they intend to do just that.

Talking about locking in, this is exactly what Kyrie Irving appears to be doing right now if you believe what former Cavs teammate Kevin Love has to say.
KD did not stop there, however. The Nets superstar also expressed his team's mindset in terms of facing the opposition:
“We respect the game and our opponents too much to come in and say we’re expected to win this,” said Durant.
The Nets get Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs, and while Brooklyn is considered as the heavy favorites for that series, you never know. As Durant indicated, they should not and will not take anything for granted.
