Two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant underwent a full evaluation with the Brooklyn Nets doctors and performance staff on Monday.
Nets general manager Sean Marks, speaking to reporters at Summer League on Tuesday in Las Vegas, said he will not rule one way or another on whether Durant will play next season.

Kevin Durant is recovering from a torn right Achilles tendon. It would shock a lot of people in the league if KD doesn't miss the entire 2019-20 season. Achilles injuries are believed to be the toughest surgeries to come back from.
DeMarcus Cousins returned from his Achilles tear in roughly 12 months. Boogie then tore his left quad in the 2019 playoffs against the Los Angeles Clippers. When you come back too quickly from an Achilles tear, the rest of your body is overcompensating for your weak Achilles and you put yourself in danger of getting hurt somewhere else.
The Nets signed Durant to a four-year contract worth $164.26 million. Brooklyn and the Golden State Warriors agreed to a sign-and-trade deal involving Durant, D'Angelo Russell and draft picks.
The long-term health of KD is the most important thing for the brain trust in Brooklyn, and rushing the 10-time All-Star back for the 2019-20 season would be foolish on the Nets' part.
