Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks says he has not talked with Kevin Durant about how KD came back from a calf injury for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Durant tore his Achilles in Game 5 of the Finals and is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season. Marks says he has no interest in discussing the nature of events which led up to Durant's Achilles tear.

“We’ve never talked to him about that situation in Golden State,” Marks said, via The Athletic. “I don’t think he wants to talk about it. We certainly don’t. That’s in the past. There’s definitely things we can all learn and we strategically look at how a lot of guys have returned to play from these injuries.

“Where Kevin is focused is right here. He’s focused on his rehab. We’re focused on putting the best group of people around him to help and make sure that rehab goes to plan.”

As part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Warriors, Kevin Durant signed a four-year contract with the Nets this offseason. The two-time Finals MVP may or may not go to China with the team when Brooklyn plays two preseason games against the Los Angeles Lakers.

A 10-time All-Star, Durant has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 849 games.
