Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks heaped praises for new franchise player Kevin Durant.
The Nets confirmed in a statement that they officially acquired Durant in a sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors. Brooklyn sent D'Angelo Russell, Shabazz Napier, Treveon Graham to the Warriors in exchange for Durant and a future first-round pick.

His tremendous abilities and dedication to his craft have made him as talented an offensive player our game has ever seen.”
The 30-year-old superstar spent the past three seasons with the Warriors, where he won two championships. Following their loss to the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals, Durant opted out of the final year of his contract with Golden State, and eventually agreed to a four-year, $164 million deal with the Nets.
Nets fans will have to wait before seeing Durant in Brooklyn, as he is still recovering a surgery that repaired his ruptured Achilles. The former Texas standout will be teaming up with fellow superstar Kyrie Irving, who signed a four-year, $141 million contract with the Nets.
