In the last few weeks of the offseason, the Brooklyn Nets have been one of the most active teams in the league making various moves to shake up the roster. This has also created chatter around fourth-year point guard D'Angelo Russell's long-term future with the franchise with trade rumors floating around.

With that in mind, general manager Sean Marks voiced that there aren't any plans to shake things up further that involve possibly moving on from Russell, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

There had been some rumblings over the weekend that the Nets could be interested in making a trade with the Charlotte Hornets that would involve moving Russell in exchange for All-Star point guard Kemba Walker. However, there hasn't been any significant movement on that front in the days that have followed. Russell's future has become a question after the team made the deal to move on point guard Jeremy Lin to the Atlanta Hawks earlier this month.

The 22-year-old is set to enter the fourth year of his four-year rookie deal that holds a $9.1 million qualifying offer for the 2019-20 campaign that would make him a restricted free agent. At the same time, there has yet to be any talk centered around a possible extension for Russell with the team ahead of next season.

Russell has shown to be a talented point guard behind his scoring ability and playmaking with the ball in his hands, but he has struggled to stay healthy as his first campaign with the Nets was significantly impacted by the inability to stay on the court due to nagging leg injuries.

He had taken the court for just 48 games that included undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee that forced him to miss several weeks. All of this sets up a make-or-break season in Brooklyn for him to prove that he deserves a lucrative contract next summer.
