The Brooklyn Nets remain to be the favorites to go all the way this season. Their utter dominance of the Boston Celtics in the first round served as a clear testament to this fact.

They have a much tougher test in store, however, as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round. Reigning back-to-back league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be a huge problem for the Nets, and for his part, Nets head coach Steve Nash recently hinted on Brooklyn's gameplan for the Bucks star:

“I think the strategy we’ll probably start with is probably similar from a team-defending standpoint,” said Nash about defending Giannis, via Matthew Brooks of Nets Daily. “It’s also the type of thing we have to work our way through as the series goes on and have a better feel for it, have more and more of an understanding collectively, and also be able to adjust and adapt within our schemes, not just change our schemes. The team concepts will be the same regardless.”

It sounds like Nash and his Nets are going to take a bit of a wait-and-see approach in terms of guarding Antetokounmpo. This is an undeniably difficult task, which is why it isn't surprising that at this point, coach Nash is still keeping his options open. You can only do so much in terms of preparing for the challenge posed by a Giannis Antetokounmpo, so as the Nets shot-caller pointed out above, his team's ability to adapt on the fly will be a key factor in terms of trying to prevent the Bucks superstar from an offensive explosion.

Needless to say, though, this is much easier said than done.
