Amid all the talk about Blake Griffin's state in New York after playing just 26 regular season games for the Brooklyn Nets this past season, we finally get a clearer picture of what Grifin's future could possibly look like. After having an impact in the Nets' post-season run, it seems that the six-time All-Star is taking his talents nowhere but Brooklyn.

On Sunday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bomb saying that the 32-year-old seems to suggest that Grifin wants to stay with the Nets this coming season (via Matt Brooks of Nets Daily):

After sitting out his last month as part of the Detroit Pistons line-up, Griffin's arrival in Brooklyn was pleasantly surprising to head coach Steve Nash and the rest of the powerhouse roster. The former first overall pick ended up starting all of Brooklyn's 12 playoff games averaging 26.5 minutes per game while putting up nine points and 5.9 rebounds plus a little bit of everything.

Griffin, alongside former teammate DeAndre Jordan and fellow small-ball big Jeff Green, have been quite the integral pieces in a Brooklyn roster that's lacking in frontcourt power. With Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving creating plays for the team, players like Griffin have played a huge role in receiving drop passes and even crucial tip-ins. Plus, it obviously helps that the 32-year-old is still capable of putting on a show every now and then.

With the Nets being just an inch away from possibly advancing to the ECF and potentially winning it all, look for the franchise to do everything in their power to make sure their core remains intact.
