Okay, so the NBA world is in absolute chaos right now after Kevin Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. Multiple organizations have been reported in showing interest in the superstar small forward and only time will tell where he lands. However, it sounds like some teams are potentially open to the idea of trading for both, Durant and Kyrie Irving. These are rumors for now, but this could turn out nicely for the Nets.

During an appearance on ESPN, Adrian Wojnarowski indicates that both Durant and Irving “want to continue to play together.” However, they're simply done playing with Brooklyn. That's not a great look for the Nets, but it does make for an enticing trade package for the franchise.

Although it sounds extremely unlikely, there are some organizations pondering the idea of trading for both stars, per Woj. That would be an insane deal to make. If the Nets play their cards right, they could walk away with a handful of solid players along with multiple draft picks. However, it's a long shot to happen as both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are extremely valuable players in the NBA. Well, Durant is at least.

Although their time with the Nets is coming to a close, it sounds like the two superstars are simply fed up with the organization. According to Alec Sturm, everything fell apart after Brooklyn did not give Kyrie Irving a contract extension. Kevin Durant was hoping for his teammate to play alongside him for the long haul, as he himself has four years remaining on his contract.

So, it sounds like this relationship is coming to a bitter end, as the Nets didn't want to extend Irving (which is completely understandable). However, the front office is now busy at work as they must find the best deal possible to make up for a super team experiment that blew up in their face.
