Milwaukee Bucks cornerstone Giannis Antetokounmpo is slated to make his preseason debut tonight against the Chicago Bulls after missing the last two games with the unexpected death of his father; Charles, the team announced.
“I think he's happy,” said head coach Jason Kidd. “This is what he's worked for all summer, to be able to get on the court and play at a high level.”
“I think he's excited, we're all excited that he's back. We'll start him tonight, probably keep his minutes up to 20 and just get him back into the fold. We're all happy to see him back.”

The Bucks are 0-2 thus far in the preseason, also missing another key cog in forward Jabari Parker, who is still recovering from a second torn ACL, which cut his last season short after 51 games.
The Bulls have chosen to rebuild this year, trading away Jimmy Butler for Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn, plus the draft pick swap that became rookie Lauri Markkanen.
Antetokounmpo is building off a career-year with the Bucks, leading the team in all the major five statistical categories — this time looking to make a dent in the Eastern Conference and secure an even higher seed than last season after falling 4-2 to the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the postseason.
