After trading away Lauri Markkanen, the Bulls have added Derrick Jones Jr. to their roster and gained a protected first-round pick from Portland and a protected 2023 second-rounder from Denver. This move completes their roster and continues their highly productive offseason.

With the addition of Jones Jr., the Bulls fill a major hole in their roster with an athletic scorer on the wing who can provide them with stellar perimeter defense. Now that they've assembled a starting five of LaVine, Vucevic, Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Patrick Williams, the Bulls are looking to move up the ladder in the deep and talented Eastern Conference.

After their 3-team trade from earlier today, they've acquired quality depth that gives them a complete second unit that will be led by Alex Caruso and Derrick Jones Jr. and have gained draft assets that can give them the flexibility to continue making moves in the near future. Now that Chicago has finally put themselves back on the winning track, things are starting to look up for them.
