The Chicago Bulls are expected to pursue Enes Kanter when the free-agency period begins on Sunday night.
Kanter is expected to draw a lot of interest from teams after a strong season with the Portland Trail Blazers. And according to Ian Begley of SNY, the Bulls are among the teams who are expected to make a run at the 27-year-old, who had stints with the New York Knicks and Trail Blazers last season.
In 23 games with the Trail Blazers, Kanter averaged 13.1 points on top of 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. His value in Portland increased when starting center Jusuf Nurkic went down with a season-ending injury. In the playoffs, the nine-year veteran posted 11.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Due to his strong performance next season, the Bulls are expected to have strong competition for Kanter's services. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and the Trail Blazers are also in the mix for Kanter in free agency.
However, Cary Edmonson of USA Today Sports believes that the Bulls have the strongest chance to land Kanter. Chicago will have the opportunity to sign Kanter immediately while teams like the Celtics and the Lakers are still trying to sign top-tier free agents like Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, and Kemba Walker.
