The Chicago Bulls have a big offseason ahead of them after yet another mediocre season that did not result in a playoff berth. The team is going to be making changes, and one question mark going into the offseason is Lonzo Ball. Ball hasn't played in a game for over two years, but he is still on the Bulls. He seems to be getting better, but over two years is a lot of missed time.

Lonzo Ball seems to be progressing and getting closer to returning to the court, but who knows when he will be back in the game. He recently started his own podcast called What an Experience, and he gave an update on his injury during the first episode.

It's coming along, man,” Ball said on the show. “Week by week. It's improving, so that's all I can ask for. Still not where I want it to be. Out of 100 (percent), I'd say I'm about 70 (percent). Good enough to play, but it could still get better. I still got a long summer ahead of me. But definitely looking forward to the future.”

Ball is definitely making some progress. He said himself that he feels good enough to play, but after an injury like this one that kept him off the court for so long, there is no reason to go back to playing before you reach 100%. There is a long offseason ahead of Ball and he should be able to continue to take strides throughout the coming months.

In terms of Lonzo Ball's future with the Bulls, Vice President Artūras Karnišovas discussed his health at his end-of-season press conference. He said that Chicago is waiting to see how his heath progresses over the course of the next couple months.

“We’re just going to wait and see his progression the next couple of months,” Artūras Karnisovas said, according to an article from NBC Sports. “He’s progressing well. Everything is looking with no setbacks. So we’ll see where he’s at in a couple of months.”

Changes are coming to the Bulls this offseason

Bulls fans aren't going to believe it until they see it, but Artūras Karnisovas noted in that same press conference that he is aware that changes need to be made. At this point, it's obvious that whatever Chicago has been doing hasn't been working, so Karnisovas wants to use this offseason to try and make some moves.

“I am going to look at the totality of the group,” Karnišovas said. “This group hasn’t worked. There’s a lot of great things in certain individual players and a lot of young guys who took a step forward and it’s positive. But in totality as a group, it didn’t work. So I’m going to have to find these answers in offseason.”

Bulls fans have been calling for changes to be made for awhile now, and it sounds like this offseason their wishes could finally come true. Again, that fan base will believe it when they see it.

One of those changes could involve Lonzo Ball, and it will depend on how his health is looking down the road. This will be an interesting offseason for him and the Bulls.
