You can’t think about it throughout the process, you just have to keep moving forward,” Alkins told David Skinner of The Daily Wildcat.
The Toronto Raptors picked him up as part of their Summer League Roster. The 20-year-old, 6-foot-5 guard, averaged 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in six games. Raptors coach Nick Nurse praised Alkins' productive activity on the court:
“He took the opportunities that were there, they backed off of him after he drove a couple times, and he stuck a three, they pressed up on him, and he drove it. He played hard and he was productive. He did things well on both ends,” Nurse said.
Now with the Bulls, Alkins will be reunited with his college teammate and rising star Lauri Markkanen. He even tweeted the good news.
