The Chicago Bulls are in the middle of a three-game losing skid and can't afford to lose any more personnel. The team is already undermanned without key pieces in Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, and with the NBA Playoffs on the near horizon, the injury bug must be squashed.
It has been revealed, however, that Zach LaVine is playing through pain. According to a report by ESPN, the All-Star guard is being slowed down by a lingering soreness in his surgically repaired left knee. LaVine suited up on Thursday night in their close loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Prior to the game, Bulls coach Billy Donovan sounded fairly optimistic about his prized leader's status, per the report of ESPN.
“(Zach) feels really good. (But) that's today. No question, after tonight, tomorrow check with him. I would say it's more likely he'll be playing.”

The 26-year-old LaVine didn't look too bothered by his left knee against the Hawks, scoring 22 points on 8-of014 shooting from the field. He also added three rebounds and seven assists. The Bulls, however, faltered in the fourth quarter, giving up 40 points to the Hawks to secure the 130-124 win.
LaVine, who's had his fair share of injuries in the past, recently admitted he's still unsure if he'll undergo another surgery in the offseason. In the meantime, he'll focus on helping the Bulls get back to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
The Bulls will face the Milwaukee Bucks this Friday.
