During Tuesday night's game between the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder, the Bulls star guard, Zach LaVine, set an NBA record you didn't know existed. LaVine went off during the game, putting up 40 points, four rebounds, and two assists. It's a stat line you've seen before, but taking a deeper look, LaVine impressively reached his stat line with efficiency, per Stats by Stats.
Tonight Zach LaVine of the @chicagobulls became the first player in NBA history to …
-score 40+ points
-make 7+ threes
-shoot 100% from inside the arc
-have a plus-minus of +30 or better… all in the same game.

That is the most efficient game ever recorded in NBA history. He didn't make the most points, or hit the most three-pointers, or even break the assist record. The Bulls talent was just straight-up efficient on the court during Tuesday night's game.
To drop 40 points is impressive in itself, but the fact he shot 100% within the arc is insane. Also having a plus-minus of +30 is something difficult to do, as there are so many factors that go into that specific stat.
Also hitting 7+ three-pointers is incredible as well, as that's 21 points alone off just seven buckets. No doubt LaVine helped push the Bulls to a victory against the Thunder, as his record-breaking performance will go down in the history books
LaVine has been having a career year this season, averaging 28.4 points, five assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. He's been able to keep the Bulls alive all year, as they currently sit in ninth place, making a push for the playoffs in the second half of the season.
Catch Zach LaVine and the Bulls on Wednesday night, as they play against the San Antonio Spurs. Chicago will be aiming to achieve a three-game win streak as they attempt to climb the ranks in the Eastern Conference.
