The 2017-18 NBA season for the Chicago Bulls continues to feature their fair share of struggles. Fortunately, they may be one step closer in their rebuild with the looming return of point guard Zach LaVine.
LaVine still has yet to make his season debut, however, he has made tremendous strides in his rehab from the ACL tear he suffered last year. According to Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald, LaVine is still working on getting into game shape before his return:

But nothing simulates game conditioning. I've been working out for the last eight, nine months and you come in and play 5-on-5 and you're tired in 3 minutes. Just got to get that down, get my rhythm down. But I'm progressing really fast. And I feel good.”
It is promising to see LaVine is able to participate in full on 5-on-5's with the Bulls. In terms of the healing process, that is usually the tell-tale sign that a player is poised to return to the court.
However, it is clear that LaVine is still concerned with his conditioning at this point in time. Perhaps it is best since explosive players like him tend to rely heavily on being on being in superb shape to help gain the upper-hand on opponents. With the Bulls likely not preparing for a playoff run anytime soon, there really is no need to rush him back before he feels 100 percent.
