The Chicago Bulls are still expected to part ways with center Robin Lopez and small forward Jabari Parker before the Feb. 7 trade deadline despite the loss of rookie big man Wendell Carter Jr., according to multiple reports.
Robin Lopez is on an expiring contract and the Bulls are reportedly looking for a second-round pick in return for him.
Jabari Parker, meanwhile, has been on the trade block for months now and has a team option worth $20 million for next season.
It should be noted that the Bulls still will shop Robin Lopez and Jabari Parker in advance of the Feb. 7 trade deadline, even with news of Wendell Carter Jr. injury and likely surgery. If they find deals, Cristiano Felicio or small lineup always can be used.

Wendell Carter Jr.’s extended absence wouldn’t change Chicago’s direction on trade talks involving center Robin Lopez, league source tells ESPN. Lopez and his $14M expiring contract will remain in marketplace leading into trade deadline.

The Bulls are 10-35 on the season. They are in 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings and headed for a lottery pick.

Robin Lopez has appeared in 37 games this season for Chicago. The 30-year-old is averaging 5.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the field, 26.7 percent from beyond the arc and 68.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Chicago is reportedly against buying out Lopez's contract, as they want to get some type of asset in return for the veteran center.
Jabari Parker, a Chicago native, has had a dreadful season with the Bulls. The former No. 2 overall pick is putting up sound offensive numbers, but he's been a DNP-CD for a bevy of games this year.
Parker is averaging 14.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 33 games for the Bulls.
