Over the past couple of weeks, NBA 2K18 has been giving fans a first look at some of the players who will be wearing new jerseys next season, along with their new ratings. The results have been of mixed reactions from the players especially on the numbers they received.

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine saw his NBA 2K18 self and rating, which prompted a reaction from the high-flyer on Twitter. He thinks the 80 he received is “laughable”, but added he still has nothing but love for the 2K Sports team.

The 22-year-old UCLA product was part of the draft night deal that sent Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is currently recovering from an ACL injury he suffered that forced him to miss a huge portion of last season.

Now with the Bulls, Zach LaVine will have the opportunity to get back his old form, and be part of team with a good mix of veterans and young guns. If he can be eased accordingly into their rotation by head coach Fred Hoiberg, LaVine could eventually be one of the go-to-guys of the storied franchise. It could then lead to a higher rating in the video game, as the developers usually change them depending on a player's performance during the season.
