The new hometown hero made the most important shot in the game and couldn't resist to give the fans a gesture; indicating it was game over for the Celtics.
I wanna apologize to my young fans on my gesture at the end of last nights game. I was caught up in the emotions of my first game at home.

Wade is expected to receive a fine, according to NBA.com, but it has yet to be announced by the league. While the NBA is not as strict as the NFL as far as celebrations are concerned, they do keep in mind the image of the league — especially in a time of violence that ensnares the country.
His apology came timely as it was public before he receives the fine and it won't have many repercussions to follow since Wade does not have a record of prior offenses with the league.
Dwyane Wade's debut came at the tune of 22 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a block — but the most impressive thing was his versatility, as he knocked down four treys on his way to leading the Bulls to a 105-99 win.
