Dwyane Wade‘s ex-wife and high school sweetheart, Siohvaughn Funches, is appearing to want more than what the $5 million she received in their divorce settlement in 2013. According to The Sun Sentinel, Funches wants a Cook County judge to throw out their old divorce settlement, reopen it, and possibly give her a chunk from Wade's new $47 million contract.
Here's more from their report:
The suit, which does not name Wade as a defendant, claims Hurst “failed miserably” to represent her, required her “to remain out of the conference room where negotiations were taking place” and “informed the court falsely” that Funches had agreed to the deal when she was not aware of all the terms.
Wade and Funches married in 2002 and have two children, Zaire and Zion. They filed for divorce in 2007 and it became official in 2010. A year after, he won sole custody of the children. As part of the settlement, a non-disparage clause was included, which prevents both sides (including Wade's current wife, actress Gabrielle Union) from throwing insults against each other.

Judge Martin Agran may have dismissed her lawsuit last Friday, but he proposed that she file an amended lawsuit, which her new laywer Thomas Gooch says she will “absolutely” take. However, a Chicago Sun Times article suggests otherwise. Here's an excerpt:
Brian Hurst, an attorney for Funches-Wade, argued that his client never fully agreed to all the provisions in the settlement, including the “non-disparage” provision. But Cook County Circuit Court Judge John Thomas Carr decided both parties did agree on the deal and he found the settlement valid, effectively ending a six-year divorce proceeding that has drawn national attention.
The 34-year old former Finals MVP may be looking forward now after joining the Chicago Bulls, but there's still something from his past that's haunting him now. And, it doesn't seem like it's going to end anytime soon.
