It has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for Jimmy Butler over the last year with the constant rumors surrounding his future with the Chicago Bulls.

Throughout the process, he has voiced his commitment to the franchise on multiple occasions with the latest being in an appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show earlier this week. According to Carlos Douglas Jr. of the Chicago Chronicle, Butler is set to meet with the Bulls to discuss the long-term outlook for the franchise.

This could be a pivotal meeting between the two sides that may decide much more than Butler's fate with the organization. The team has two critical decisions to make concerning the roster once the offseason officially begins concerning Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo.

As for Butler, he has three years left on his five-year, $92.3 million deal. He is set to make $18.7 million next season and possesses a player option worth $19.8 million for the 2019-20 campaign.

Butler is coming off his best individual season averaging career-highs across the board with 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
