Sometimes, there is nothing like going home, and sometimes, “home” is a relative term. For Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen, San Antonio represents sort of a home away from home, as he served as an assistant coach for Gregg Popovich and the Spurs for two years.

Boylen was even a part of San Antonio's historic finals victory over the Miami Heat in 2014, when Tim Duncan and Co. routed LeBron James' Heat squad in five games.

The 53-year-old returned to his old stomping grounds on Saturday night, as his Bulls went into the AT&T Center and emerged with a 98-93 win, rallying from a 21-point deficit to snatch the victory.

Boylen never really wanted to leave San Antonio, and he will always have fond memories of the city, according to The Associated Press:

“I love San Antonio,” Boylen said. “My kids, my wife and I, we loved living here. I just couldn't sell it. It broke my heart to put it on the market, so we kept it. We leased it to a beautiful family. It's in a Cul-de-sac, there's a pool, it's just a safe place. It's hard to get rid of a safe place.”

Boylen took over as head coach for the Bulls earlier this month after the team fired Fred Hoiberg. Since his promotion, Boylen and Chicago have gone 2-4, also earning an impressive victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

However, in spite of the solid win on Saturday evening, the Bulls are still just 7-23 and have a pretty long road ahead of them.
