Following the success Carmelo Anthony had with it during the offseason, some players have been seen wearing hoodies as well during practices. John Wall was spotted with them on recently, and now, another player sported one while going through their team’s scrimmage.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell came in to their practice session with a hood on his head, and appeared to be ready to play with it on. Together with sweat pants and a warmer, he did not remove them and went straight to work instead.

This will be Harrell’s first season with the Clippers, as he landed with the team during the summer as part of the Chris Paul trade. He played a crucial role last year for the Houston Rockets, and became a fixture in their rotation. His ability to hold his own inside the paint will come in handy for Doc Rivers and his staff, and it can be expected that he will receive a decent amount of minutes again.
If he can channel Anthony’s alter ego and also perform better with the hoodie on during practices, the coaching staff and their fans will certainly not mind what he wears, as long as it helps him prepare better for next season’s grind. Harrell is looking to build on his solid showing from last season, and contribute to the Clippers’ cause, as they plan to remain a contender in the tough Western Conference.
