There were a lot of trade rumors surrounding DeAndre Jordan and the L.A. Clippers at the trade deadline. There were a lot of experts who believed he would be traded too, and the team would go in a full tank now mode.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Jordan was almost a Cleveland Cavalier if it wouldn't have been for the lack of a third team that the Cavaliers could have shipped off Iman Shumpert to.
There have still been rumors flying now about how long DeAndre will stay a Clipper, but according to a recent Yahoo! Sports report, he wants to stay in Los Angeles for at least another 10 years.

He also talked about how the trade talks don't really affect him because they aren't something new to him as he has been dealing with them for the last couple of years.
“My name has been mentioned [in trades] for the past few years. So I’m not really tripping on that,” Jordan told Yahoo Sports. “I really don’t give a [expletive] at this point. I’m just playing, man, staying locked into the game, playing as hard as I can for this organization because I love this team. And I love where we’re at and the group of guys that I’m playing with, so that’s what makes me happy.”
The Clippers even though they aren't the same team as the last couple years have really found a new passion for the game. They have some young guys that are hungry for the game that have surrounded Jordan and Lou Williams.
With Williams new contract and Jordan wanting to stay with the Clippers, maybe these are the two new guys they can build around.
