For as good as Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been this season when the game is on the line and the clock is ticking down, the second-year phenom hasn't risen to the occasion.

During Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers, Doncic would miss two shots to take the lead in the final quarter ending the Mavs' short home winning streak. Per John Schuhmann of NBA.com, the Slovenian star is now 0-9 this season when it comes to shots in the last minute of the game to either tie or take the lead.

While Doncic's lack of clutch buckets this season may be a bit concerning, fans shouldn't fret just yet. As a rookie, Doncic fared much better in those situations going 6-11 on the season.

Regardless, while the stat may have cost Dallas a few wins this season, the impact that the 6-foot-7 point guard has had during the other 47-plus minutes of the game far exceeds the damage he is doing.

After one of the best rookie campaigns in recent memory, Doncic has gone from up and coming star to legit MVP candidate throughout his second season. Despite the two clutch misses, Doncic would still end the game with 36 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
