Dallas Mavericks’ young star Luka Doncic was clearly frustrated on Tuesday night, so much so that he decided to skip the mandatory post-game press conference.

The usually accommodating 20-year-old avoided the media in the Mavs’ 99-114 defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers at home – snapping their five-game winning streak in the process.

Doncic did tweet “Bounce Back” shortly after the loss, but it’s clear that he didn’t have much to say to the press after the team’s disappointing performance.

The Slovenian sensation did have a solid outing of 22 points, eight boards, six assists and three steals – which was still subpar compared to his slew of triple-double performances during the team’s longest winning streak of the season so far.

Doncic did struggle from the field, connecting on only four of his 14 total attempts (28.6 percent) and he missed all of his eight tries downtown. He did get to the line and made 14-of-16 of his trips.

He was clearly bothered by the Clips’ brand of physical defense, as he was uncharacteristically responsible for seven of Dallas’ 20 turnovers.

The usually reserved teen even let out his frustrations right before the end of the first quarter when he appeared to curse out a referee after being called for an offensive foul.

The Mavs (11-6), meanwhile, are now tied with the Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz for fourth place in the stacked Western Conference.

Doncic has been putting up MVP-worthy numbers the past few weeks, and he was certainly bound to struggle at some point. The Clippers is one of the best defensive units in the league today, and Doc Rivers certainly devised a brilliant game plan to slow down the budding superstar.
