Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has a lot of money, and what do you do if you have tons of cash at your disposal? You buy a town.

That's exactly what the Mavs boss did after it was revealed he bought the small Texas town of Mustang. It's a 77-acre land with just 23 people recorded during the last census, per Dallas Morning News. It is unknown how much the “Shark Tank” star paid for it, but it was listed with a price tag of $4 million in 2017.

Here's what Dallas real estate broker Mike Turner said about the property:

“I had a fair amount of interest in it, but it was priced too high — even when we bought it down to $2 million. The old strip club is not in good repair, but it could be redone for something.

“There is a resident alligator in one of the ponds.”

Now, the question is: why did Cuban buy the town? Surely, he didn't just want to get the resident alligator in the area.

In an email to Dallas Morning News, Cuban revealed the not-so-secret reason for what is easily a million-dollar purchase. Apparently, he did it as a favor to a friend who needed to sell it.

“I don’t know what if anything I will do with it,” Mark Cuban shared on his plan about the town.

For a town called Mustang, though, it seems only fitting the the Mavs owner take it. Being the businessman he is, let's hope Mark finds a way to make money from it.
