The Denver Nuggets may not have been one of teams consistently included in a lot of trade talks over the past few weeks, but they are now very active in coming up with deals that could bring them players to make them a perennial playoff contender in the seasons to come.
Reports have now emerged that the team is looking to make some moves to land either Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler or Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe.
From Jeff Goodman and Chris Haynes of ESPN:

“The Denver Nuggets have held separate discussions Thursday leading up to the NBA draft on deals to acquire Chicago Bulls forward Jimmy Butler or Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe, sources have told ESPN. “
They also reported that they are offering the Bulls some young players, excluding Nikola Jokic, and draft picks in exchange for their three-time All-Star, while Emmanuel Mudiay and the 13th overall pick are being dangled in exchange for the Suns' high-scoring hybrid guard.
Should the Nuggets be successful in adding one of these guys, or even both of them, it will instantly boost their chances of making the postseason immediately. They might even turn out to be a dark horse in the Western Conference, as the two could address their need for more depth at the guard and small forward positions. It remains to be seen if any of their discussions will come into fruition, but it will definitely be one of the more surprising trades so far this offseason that not a lot of people saw coming.
