The NBA strives to maintain its lofty place as the premier professional basketball league in the world. For the longest time, the league has lived up to these expectations and currently foster many of the best basketball players in the world.

Though, there is one underlying flaw in the NBA's operations. Since the beginning of the season, there has been a hostile relationship with players and officials. This is further exacerbated by the league's Last Two Minute report, which admits many of the calls referees get wrong. Regardless of your stance on the issue, one thing is definitely for sure. NBA games must be officiated properly so that teams can receive the best chance to compete.

It defeats the purpose of the entire NBA if incorrect calls are made, especially in close games. Interestingly, there is one team that appears to be getting the short end of the stick every time in close game situations. This team is none other than the Denver Nuggets, who lead the league in blown calls.

During the All-Star Break, the players and referees met to discuss how to calm their volatile relationship. While officials don't appreciate players yelling and telling them how to do their jobs, the evidence speaks for itself that something is definitely wrong with the NBA's officiating, and something must be done about it.

Normally, blaming the officials is the easy thing to do for coaches, players, and fans. However, this bit of proof gives the task some substance.

The Nuggets may not be your favorite team, but it would be an outrage if a game with your favorite team is not officiated properly during a close game.
