Both comebacks were improbable, and yet the Nuggets are on the precipice of their first Conference Finals appearance since 2009.
Denver really had to dig deep on Sunday, though

The Nuggets trailed by 19 points with just over 10 minutes to go in the third quarter, but they cut the deficit to just two at the end of the period and proceeded to outscore the Clippers by 15 points in the final frame.
Nikola Jokic was magnificent, delivering 34 points to go along with 14 rebounds and seven assists. Jamal Murray added 21 markers, and Gary Harris scored eight of his 16 points in the final quarter. The Nuggets also got 23 combined points off the bench courtesy of Michael Porter Jr. and Monte Morris.
Denver has turned the tide of the series. The Clippers appeared to be steamrolling to the Conference Finals after winning both Games 3 and 4, but the resilient Nuggets simply will not die.
Denver trailed by 15 points in the third quarter of Game 5, but they mounted a ferocious comeback to fight another day. The Nuggets showed tremendous fortitude yet again on Sunday.
The two sides will duke it out in a winner-take-all on Tuesday.
