Netflix scored huge with South Korean drama/thriller Squid Game, as the highly captivating show emerged as one of the most popular programs on the streaming platform. For some reason, a random dude on TikTok decided to call out Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. in a Squid Game-themed rant.
A TikToker that goes by the username secret32404 hilariously pointed out that Porter actually makes more money in a single season compared to the fatal prize pool on Squid Game:
@whatifsports0324 mpj getting more than the mvp #fyp #foryou #foryoupage #squidgame #nba #nbatiktok #basketballtiktok #mpj #viral #trending #greenscreen

The man has a point. Based on his math, whoever survives Squid Game will end up going home with $38.4 million. While this is a significant amount, it pales in comparison to what the Nuggets forward will pocket in just one season. MPJ signed a max extension with Denver in September, which came out to the tune of $207 million for five years. That's an average of a little over $41 million a year.
To be fair, Porter is one of the brightest young stars in the NBA today. Few will argue against the notion that he's done enough to warrant such a massive contract from the Nuggets.
Don't tell that to the players on Squid Game, though. These folks are literally fighting for their lives just to be able to get a chance at that prize money. And it's not as if they have a choice.
