In what could be their most exciting offseason in recent years, the Denver Nuggets have been hit with a minor setback as budding superstar Nikola Jokic is suffering from a jammed finger, forcing the team to limit his activities at the start of training camp.
Nick Kosmider of The Athletic tweeted out this development from the Nuggets' camp.
“Nikola Jokic has been limited the first two days of training camp because of a slightly jammed finger he suffered during a recent pickup run. Michael Malone said the issue is minor and the Nuggets are simply using an abundance of caution.”
No major worries here, Nuggets fans. Jokic definitely won't miss games at the start of the team's very promising season.

Arguably one of the most uniquely-skilled big men the league has seen, Jokic has been a walking triple-double machine, racking up ten triple-doubles last season. The Nuggets finished just one game behind the eighth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves, but the impressive play of Jokic and his young teammates bode well for their campaign this year.
Head coach Michael Malone interestingly put the 6-foot-10 big man as the focal point of the team's offense. Jokic would even be the one to bring the ball down to their end of the floor, a rare sight for a center. But the 23-year-old Serbian delivered the goods, averaging 6.1 assists per game last year, along with his 18.5 points and 10.7 rebounds.
Even in a stacked western conference, the Nuggets are primed to bring in excitement this upcoming season. The arrival of Isaiah Thomas and the growth of Jokic will pack up a powerful offensive punch for the team. However, the young Nuggets should work on the defensive end of the floor for them to be successful come playoff time.
